RISE
RISE (READINESS IMPROVEMENT SUCCESS EMPOWERMENT) is a multistage computer adaptive criterion referenced assessment system that includes summative tests for English Language Art (ELA), Mathematics, Science, and Writing.

RISE Formative: Optional learning resources, test items, and learning activities available to teachers, parents and students, linked to students’ summative test results
Utah Aspire Plus
“The Utah Aspire Plus assessment is a hybrid of ACT Aspire and Utah Core test items. It is a computer delivered, fixed form end-of-grade-level high school assessment for students in 9 and 10. Utah Aspire Plus includes four subtests: reading, English, mathematics, and science. The assessment also provides proficiency scores for end-of-grade-level expectations for 9th and 10th grade students in English language arts, mathematics, and science.” -Assessment and Accountability. WIDA
WIDA measures academic language acquisition in the domains of speaking, listening, reading and writing. The test results are reported by domain. By combining the scores from each domain, a composite score is then calculated. These scores used together help determine the level and types of English Language Learner services and supports are needed for an individual student to be successful in the classroom.

ACT
ACT measures college readiness in the areas of English, Reading, Math, and Science. It is “grounded in 60 years of research” (ACT.org/content/acct/en/about-act.html). Scores are reported in each academic skill area. Those results are then tabulated to create an overall composite score The ACT test is given to all 11th grade students and is considered an end-of-level test for those students. Though some colleges and universities have stopped using ACT results as a part of their college entrance requirements, it is still widely used when considering scholarship applications.

AAPPL
AAPPL (ACTFL Assessment of Performance toward Proficiency in Languages) is a standards-based assessment in foreign language learning across the four modalities of communication: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. These language standards have been defined by the National Standards for Foreign Language Learning as well as the performance descriptors associated with the score results. The results of these scores are used to support teachers of a foreign language in Wasatch Schools. This includes the Dual-Immersion Program as well as the Foreign Language classes in grades 8-12.

KEEP
Kindergarten Entry Exit Profile. The KEEP test is designed to inform parents, teachers, and building administration on the “academic and social-emotional development those entering and exiting kindergarten”. The results of these assessments identify various aspects of a Kindergarten students’ development. (https://schools.utah.gov/#tab_1173_4). This test is focused on literacy and numeracy.

PEEP
The Pre-kindergarten Entry Exit Profile is designed to inform parents, teachers, and building administration of the “academic and life -long learning practices essential for entering and exiting pre-school.” The results of these assessments identify various aspects of a preschool student’ development. (https://schools.utah.gov/#tab_1173_6). This assessment is focused on literacy and numeracy.

DLM
The DLM (Dynamic Learning Maps) Assessment is designed to assess those students “with the most cognitive disabilities for who general state assessments are not appropriate, even with accommodations.” (https://dynamiclearningmaps.org/dlm-assessments). These assessments support teachers and parents in setting high academic expectations for their students.

Acadience Reading
The Acadience Reading assessment “helps teachers identify children at risk for reading difficulties and determine the skills to target for instructional support” for students in grades k-5 (https://acadiencelearning.org/acadience-reading/k-grade6).

Acadience Math
The Acadience Math assessment “is designed to provide a standardized assessment of students to understand how [students] are understanding basic mathematics”.
