Overview

The purpose of a school community council is to involve parents or guardians of students in decision-making at the school level, improve the quality of education of students, prudently expend School LAND Trust Program money, and increase public awareness of school trust lands and related land policies, management of the State School Fund, and educational excellence. Utah Code § 53A-1a-108(2) (2014)

Each school community council shall consist of school employees (including the school’s principal) and parents or guardians of students who are attending the school.

We are always excited to have parents serve on our council. Please email wla@wasatch.edu if you would like to be involved.

We encourage parents who would like to become more involved in WLA and have a voice in our school community to consider serving.
