Dear WLA Parents,

The end-of-year RISE assessment is approaching! This assessment provides valuable insight into your student’s strengths and areas for growth aligned with grade-level standards and is required for students in grades 3-8 and must be completed in person. If you received this email, you have not opted out of WLA testing by completing the Wasatch District form, and we are happy to include your student(s) in state RISE testing.

Each grade level will be assessed in the following subjects:

Grade 3: Math, Language Arts
Grade 4: Math, Language Arts, Science
Grade 5: Math, Language Arts, Science, Writing
Grade 6: Math, Language Arts, Science
Grade 7: Math, Language Arts, Science
Grade 8: Math, Language Arts, Science, Writing

We have several testing locations and dates available:

Each testing day will include a morning session from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and an afternoon session from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with a lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. We encourage students to attend the morning session on the first day to ensure they have enough time to complete all tests. While some students—especially those in 3rd grade—may finish on the first day, others may need both days. This year, we will provide lunch, and we will finalize the order the morning of testing.

If you would like your student to participate, please sign up for a date and location here:
