Alex Judd
The J.R. Smith Elementary School community is pleased to introduce their new principal, Alex Judd. With 22 years of experience in education, Alex has served in various capacities, including as a 4th-grade teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, principal, and assistant superintendent. However, his heart has always been drawn to the direct impact a school environment can have on both students and teachers.

Outside of work, Alex is happily married to his beloved wife, Betsy, for 23 wonderful years. Together, they are blessed with five energetic boys who keep their lives filled with joy and adventure. As a family, they cherish outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, mountain biking, canyoneering, and enjoying beach outings. They are also avid pickleball enthusiasts!

Alex is genuinely excited to get to know the J.R. Smith community and work together to create a positive and nurturing learning environment for the students of J.R. Smith Elementary. He looks forward to meeting you all in person and embarking on this incredible journey with the school community.
