<\/a>The\u00a0Cool to Care\u00a0program at Wasatch High School is one of a kind. Created in 2010 by Principal Shawn Kelly, it was designed to reward students for being involved, earning good grades, and maintaining strong attendance. However, its driving motive is to foster a school culture centered on kindness and anti-bullying, ensuring that every student feels seen and valued at WHS. Through this initiative, students and teachers work towards finding quiet and subtle ways to serve others in the school. As they do, they are rewarded with Cool to Care cards.\u00a0<\/p>

The cards can be turned in for various prizes throughout the year that ultimately lead to a drawing for a BRAND-NEW CAR; graciously donated by the Labrum family at Labrum Auto. The Labrums have continuously given back to the Wasatch community because they believe in the difference the program can make in a student\u2019s life. Danny and Rachel Labrum, along with their kids Savannah (husband, Jackson Bennion and daughter, Dailee) and Kennedy, have donated a total to 15 cars to WHS students. Each year, the lucky student is given a car title for being \u201cCool to Care\u201d. In 2019, the Labrum\u2019s expanded the program to include teachers in Wasatch School District. Each school nominates a teacher that has exemplified the qualities above to win a one-year lease (donated by the Labrums), $500 in gas (donated by Mohammad at Mountain Land One Stop, and insurance (donated by Brian Mair: Allstate Insurance).\u00a0<\/div>

We are excited to announce some fun things added to this year\u2019s Cool to Care program:<\/strong><\/h5>
  1. Pick your prize: Throughout the school there are a variety of boxes with the prize and drawing date on it. Drop your cards into the box with a prize that you\u2019d like to win.\u00a0<\/li>
  2. Immediate Reward: Turn in your cards to the office for an immediate prize. 1 card= one piece of candy. 10 cards=a king-sized candy bar.<\/li><\/ol>

    *No matter when or where you turn your cards in, they will be added to the end of year drawing for the car!<\/div>
