Pool Hygiene & Behavior

  • ANY LOCKS LEFT ON LOCKERS OVER NIGHT WILL BE CUT OFF.
  • A BATHER USING THE FACILITY MUST TAKE A CLEANSING SHOWER BEFORE ENTERING THE POOL ENCLOSURE.
  • A BATHER LEAVING THE POOL TO USE THE TOILET MUST TAKE A SECOND CLEANSING SHOWER BEFORE RETURNING TO THE POOL ENCLOSURE.
  • A PERSON HAVING A COMMUNICABLE DISEASE TRANSMISSIBLE BY WATER MUST BE EXCLUDED FROM PUBLIC POOLS. A PERSON HAVING ANY EXPOSED SUB-EPIDERMAL TISSUE, INCLUDING OPEN BLISTERS, CUTS, OR OTHER LESIONS MAY NOT USE A PUBLIC POOL. A PERSON WHO HAS OR HAS HAD DIARRHEA WITHIN THE LAST TWO WEEKS CAUSED BY AN UNKNOWN SOURCE OR FROM ANY COMMUNICABLE OR FECAL-BORNE DISEASE MAY NOT ENTER ANY PUBLIC POOL.
  • ANY CHILD UNDER THREE YEARS OLD, ANY CHILD NOT TOILET TRAINED, AND ANYONE WHO LACKS CONTROL OF DEFECATION SHALL WEAR A WATER RESISTANT SWIM DIAPER AND WATERPROOF SWIM WEAR. SWIM DIAPERS AND WATERPROOF SWIM WEAR SHALL HAVE WAIST AND LEG OPENINGS FITTED SUCH THAT THEY ARE IN CONTACT WITH THE WAIST OR LEG AROUND THE ENTIRE CIRCUMFERENCE.
  • RUNNING, BOISTEROUS PLAY OR ROUGH PLAY, EXCEPT SUPERVISED WATER SPORTS, ARE PROHIBITED.
  • DIAPERS SHALL BE CHANGED ONLY IN RESTROOMS OR CHANGING STATIONS AND SHALL NOT BE CHANGED AT POOLSIDE. THE PERSON OR PERSONS WHO CHANGE THE DIAPER MUST WASH THEIR HANDS THOROUGHLY WITH SOAP BEFORE RETURNING TO THE POOL. THE DIAPERED PERSON MUST UNDERGO A CLEANSING SHOWER BEFORE RETURNING TO THE POOL.
  • FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR PATRONS, MOBILE PHONES OR CAMERA DEVICES OF ANY KIND ARE NOT PERMITTED IN LOCKER OR CHANGING AREAS.
  • WASATCH COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS.
  • WITHIN 15 MINUTES OF THE FACILITY CLOSING, PATRONS MUST EXIT THE LOCKER ROOMS AND CHANGING AREAS

Pool Rules

Lap Pool

  • CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 8 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PAYING ADULT.
  • CHILDREN 5 AND UNDER OR CHILDREN WHO CANNOT SWIM MUST BE WITHIN ARMS REACH OF AN ADULT UNLESS THEY HAVE PASSED THE SWIM TEST ADMINISTERED BY THE AQUATIC STAFF.
  • NO GLASS CONTAINERS ARE PERMITTED IN THE POOL AREA.
  • NO FOOD, DRINK, GUM, ALCOHOL OR TOBACCO PRODUCT, OR DRUG IS PERMITTED IN THE POOL AREAS, EXCEPT WATER CONTAINERS.
  • ALL ANIMALS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF GUIDE ANIMALS FOR THE HANDICAP SHALL BE PROHIBITED WITHIN THE POOL AND LOCKERS.
  • STARTING BLOCKS ARE FOR COMPETITION AND INSTRUCTIONAL USE ONLY.
  • ALL BATHERS SHALL WEAR AN APPROPRIATE CLEAN SWIMSUIT OR SWIM ATTIRE, NO STREET CLOTHES ARE PERMITTED IN THE POOL.
  • SKIN PREPARATIONS SUCH AS LOTIONS, OILS AND MINERALS SHALL NOT COME IN CONTACT WITH THE SWIMMING POOL WATER.
  • NO HANGING, SITTING, OR CLIMBING ON LANE LINES.
  • KICK BOARDS ARE FOR LAP SWIMMING AND INSTRUCTIONAL USE ONLY.
  • IF TWO OR MORE PEOPLE ARE IN A LANE, CIRCLE SWIMMING IS REQUIRED.
  • PATRONS WHO REPEATEDLY VIOLATE THE RULES MAY BE REMOVED FROM THE FACILITY.
  • NO PROLONGED UNDERWATER SWIMMING OR BREATH HOLDING.

Therapy Pool

  • ELDERLY PERSONS AND THOSE SUFFERING FROM HEART DISEASE, DIABETES, OR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE SHOULD CONSULT A PHYSICIAN BEFORE USING THE THERAPY POOL.
  • PERSONS SUFFERING FROM A COMMUNICABLE DISEASE TRANSMISSIBLE VIA WATER MAY NOT USE THE THERAPY POOL.
  • PERSONS USING PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS SHOULD CONSULT A PHYSICIAN BEFORE USING THE THERAPY POOL.
  • INDIVIDUALS UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR OTHER IMPAIRING DRUGS SHOULD NOT USE THE THERAPY POOL.
  • BATHERS SHOULD NOT USE THE THERAPY POOL ALONE.
  • PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD NOT USE THE THERAPY POOL WITHOUT CONSULTING THEIR PHYSICIAN.
  • PERSONS SHOULD NOT SPEND MORE THAN 15 MINUTES IN THE THERAPY POOL ANY ONE SESSION.
  • CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 15 ARE PROHIBITED FROM BATHING IN THE THERAPY POOL.
  • RUNNING OR ENGAGING IN UNSAFE ACTIVITIES OR HORSEPLAY IN OR AROUND THE THERAPY POOL IS PROHIBITED.
  • NO LOTIONS, SOAPS OR SIMILAR PRODUCTS ALLOWED IN THE POOL.
